Ross Bennett
Sketch Project Architectural is led by Ross Bennett (NZCB, LBP Class2 Design), a seasoned construction professional with over 40 years of experience. Throughout his career, Ross has worked in various specialties, including site management, project management, and design.
Ross began his career as a commercial construction site manager, where he discovered a keen interest in design and detail. This passion quickly propelled him into management roles in both the commercial and residential sectors.
In 1996, Ross founded Construction Solutions Ltd, which offered residential design, prenail frame and truss detailing, CAD services for construction and manufacturing industries, and value engineering.
Subsequently, Ross led a project team specializing in retail and commercial fit-outs across Aotearoa and Australia. During his ten-year tenure, he managed all aspects of projects, from component design to multi-project rollouts.
In 2013, Ross founded Sketch Project Architectural to unify his extensive experience in design and project management under one roof.
In his spare time he can be found ears-deep into a passion project in his workshop.
Otherwise he is outdoors, likely on two wheels.
Living Our Values
In 2023, Ross was the recipient of the annual eHaus Living Our Values Award for living the value of EXCELLENCE (Being the Expert).
For several years Sketch Project Architectural has collaborated closely with eHaus and many of its regional teams as a principal design consultant. Together we specialise in PassivHaus and carbon saving design.
